About With Grace UK
Our Story
With Grace was formed in memory of Grace Ann King, who struggled with her mental health. Tragically losing our most beloved Grace to suicide in 2022 led us to find a way to evoke positive change.
From this heartache a sunflower was born. Grace Ann King —our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and cousin, our world, our love, a dreamer, and an advocate for change. A poet, a scholar, a scribe, an avid equestrian, compassionate and elegant in everything and everyone she encountered. Her laughter echoed through sunflower fields, her ideals reaching for the sky. She was our freedom-fighting whisperer, weaving dreams of a kinder planet. Now she lives on in cherished memories of all who loved her and knew her.
Yet, from sorrow's soil, With Grace sprouted. Transforming grief into purpose, honouring her legacy. In her memory, we, her family and her friends have vowed to be the change she aspired to create. And so, we stand—strong and brave—turning pain into possibility.
What we do
A chance to evoke change in honour of the beautiful, intelligent and loving Grace Ann King.
With Grace, a sunflower blooms—a beacon of hope for young hearts; this is the coming together of compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
With Grace is a local non-profit, that cradles fragile souls in its nurturing arms. Our mission is to illuminate the path toward mental well-being, especially for our youth. We not only offer training; we aim to forge the new wave of people who listen, understand, and extend a hand when darkness threatens to engulf young minds.
Each workshop, funded by our fundraising events and your generous donations, is a petal, vibrant and resilient. In schools across our community, our trained Mental Health First Aid Champions sow the seeds of empathy, teaching resilience like tending to delicate blooms. Grace’s symbol—the sunflower—radiates warmth, mirroring the light they bring to those who need it most.
Waiting to access help from the NHS often takes far too long, our mission is to educate and train teachers to recognise, support and assist our vulnerable youth in schools. Training is provided through MHFA England.
All profits from each With Grace fundraising activity will be used to fund & facilitate Mental Health training courses at zero cost to the participants. Please join us on this sun-kissed path to turn pain into purpose.
